KiiiKiii (Korean: 키키) is a South Korean girl group under Starship Entertainment. The group debuted on March 24, 2025 with the extended play Uncut Gem.
KiiiKiii Meaning[]
The name "KiiiKiii" is a play-on-words in both Korean and English. In Korean, it is an onomatopoeia representing the sound of giggling, often described as "kiki" (키키), evoking a lighthearted and joyful feeling. In English, the name is symbolic of the word "key," signifying that the group strives to continue finding the "key" to life's answers with a smile on their face.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On February 10, 2025, Starship Entertainment opened the SNS accounts of their upcoming girl group KiiiKiii.[1] Through a series of posts on their Instagram, they have commissioned about 20 artists and content creators to tease the group.[2]
2025: Debut with Uncut Gem[]
On February 12, 2025, it was reported that KiiiKiii will debut sometime in March.[3] On February 16, 2025, KiiiKiii announced their debut EP Uncut Gem, set to be released on March 24. "I Do Me" will be pre-released on February 24.[4] On February 17, KiiiKiii launched their website, unveiling hints for the album and the members' profile photos. Simultaneously, they released the group's concept photos for their debut EP.
